Tatum Cellars: 2018 Roussanne
Winemaker Josh Fritsche began working in the Texas wine industry nearly a decade ago. Working his way through the ranks from cellar rat to winemaker, he joined the Slate Mill winemaking team in April of 2019. His personal label Tatum Cellars was launched to extraordinary critical and consumer acclaim. With a nose of tropical fruit and creme fraiche, the mouth coating palate lends to vanilla bean, butter, cream, toasted pineapple, and graham. The french oak adds elegant layers of richness without being cumbersome.
AGING: 1 year in new and nuetral oak barrels
PAIRING SUGGESTIONS: scallops, crab, lobster, pork, poultry, creamy polenta, pate, curry, gruyere cheese.
